Book-ish is the bookshop you thought no longer existed!
You’ll find our original award-winning bookshop, cafe and event space at the centre of Crickhowell High Street, and our new branch among our fellow indie retailers on Frogmore Street in Abergavenny.
Our philosophy is simple: we want to connect people to books, help children to develop a lifelong love of reading and encourage conversation around books and reading.
We stock a huge range of books, gifts for book lovers, games and cards curated by a team of passionate booksellers.
Our cakes come from the lovely Cakehead with Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith supplied locally Baked by Natalie and vary day to day: we offer a tempting array of gluten free and vegan options
Our coffee is supplied from local roaster Black Mountain Roast based in Hay-on-Wye, who have several Great Taste Awards under their belt.
Many of our meats come from Cashells, a family run butchers and grocers right here in Crickhowell.
Our smoked mackerel comes from Black Mountain Smokery, who produce fabulous smoked meats here in Crickhowell
Book-ish has an alcohol license so you can enjoy a glass of wine, local craft beer or cider alongside a Bookish Bowl or Salad platter.
