Join us for the launch of our 2024 Festive Show on
Wednesday 20th November: 6pm – 8pm
For our Christmas show we are exhibiting work by artists Jacqueline Jones, Tim Rossiter and artist / printmaker Lee Wright. The exhibition includes wonderful pieces by textile artist Hannah Hughes, designer artisan Tom Bridge and book binder Carole King.
We will also have a wonderful selection of handmade decorations and other small gifts to help with your Christmas shopping.
Still on show at Found is pottery by Nigel Lambert, Steve Cook and Nick Membery with a selection of artworks from other artists who have shown with us this year.
Jacqueline paints mainly in acrylics and describes her work as an expressive reaction and interpretation to the environment she lives in.
Lee’s reduction lino prints most often depict the Welsh landscape but also wildlife from the area or from his travels. The style of his work is influenced by the work of Japanese printmakers, Art Nouveau and stained glass artists.
Tim works mainly in oils, using translucent glazes over a white ground, to keep both the painted surface and the colours as alive as possible. Sources for his work include objects around the house, the landscape, especially where the markers of ancient cultures are still visible, music, poetry and myth.
Hannah Hughes uses discarded fragments of 19th-century Welsh Quilts to create items from the exterior cotton together with the interior wool filling and redundant clothing often found stitched within
Tom Bridge creates stunning pieces from his small workshop in the Welsh valleys. Drawing inspiration from the beauty of nature, Tom designs his lampshades and furniture through visual experimentation
Carole’s sketchbooks and journals are individually hand stitched using traditional techniques and artist quality papers. The designs of the cover papers are silkscreen printed, by hand, to create numerous unique sheets.
