A stroll along the Mon and Brec Canal from Llangattock. A gentle walk offering views of the Usk Valley, the Black Mountains and Llangattock hillside. Full of 19th Century history – the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal which celebrated its bicentenary in 2012, the old workhouse, the limekilns and excellent views of the old quarries above.

Terrian: Quiet roads, canal towpath, fields. Kissing gates and stiles awkward for pushchairs – care along towpath with young children. Towpath can be muddy. Stiles have dog gates. Canal section between bridges 118 and 115 accessible for wheelchairs.
