Our main purpose is to advance the enhancement, protection and conservation of the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefit of the public.
Guided Walks and Events
The Society runs an extensive Guided Walks Programme throughout the year.
The Walks are open to Members and Non-Members and booking through the website is required. Non-Members are asked for a £5 donation.

Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog National Park
The Society works closely with the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority on a number of projects and initiatives. As well as planning applications, it liaises with the Public Rights of Way Officers on issues relating to footpaths, bridleways and countryside access and other matters which relate to the well-being of the National Park.
Forest Fawr Geopark
Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark is set within the Brecon Beacons National Park in south Wales. It comprises the western half of the National Park, stretching from Llandovery in the north to the edge of Merthyr Tydfil in the south, from Llandeilo in the west to Brecon in the east. The Society is an active member of the Management Committee of the Geopark and participates in the annual Geopark Festival.
