We offer an idyllic and peaceful get-away from the stress, hustle and bustle of everyday modern living. Being in the Western side of the Park we are able to offer natural, wild beauty by day and pristine sky at night. you will find plenty of walking routes directly onto the Black Mountain and Fforest Fawr Geopark from your doorstep. There is great attention to detail here for the most comfortable stay in spectacular surroundings. Learn about farm life and eco-living, see sheep, pigs, cattle, hens, Welsh mountain ponies, and wildlife on the farm. Fresh eggs, organic pork, beef, lamb are available during your stay, while shops and pubs are a short drive away (5 miles). Guests can source delicious food and artisan goods or enjoy leisure amenities and culture in the vibrant market towns of Brecon and Llandovery (15 miles). or head further afield to Swansea in 27 miles.
Relax outside spending hours watching birds soaring above and the mountains beyond. Stargazing and bird watching equipment are available. Equine companions are welcome to join you at these wonderful farm cottages. Ample car parking is available. Spring water flows from the taps, ocllect eggs for supper, melt marshmallows over the campfire or simply lay back and gaze as the stars twinkle above. You may also pre-order scrumptious organic hampers or purchase home produced organic food during your stay. Free EV charging during your stay available in both cottages.
Bryniau Pell
This cottage has been converted from a traditional barn to provide a home from home sleeping 6 plus 2 infants. There is a welcoming country-style cottage where the bright and airy open-plan living space features home-grown oak floors throughout and beautiful Welsh pine furniture. The well-equipped kitchen has an oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. Enjoy family mealtimes at the generous breakfast bar where you can make plans for a new day of adventures. Sink into comfortable chairs around the warming wood burner and soak up the panoramic views towards the Brecon Beacons. There is a convenient WC on the ground floor and separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a a generous lounge dining room through which you can reach a ground floor superking room with en-suite wetroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a cosy double bedroom, a large twin bedroom and nursery with a cot, cot bed and blackout blind, and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there’s a private enclosed garden with BBQ patio with seating, a park/ outdoor play area and the path to our campfire and den building area.
Hill Cottage
A magnificent stone Welsh longhouse that sleeps up to five people, this cottage offers total peace and tranquillity with scenic rural surroundings.
This remarkable and spacious cottage has a wide hallway with slate-tiled floor through to a downstairs wet room with a disabled WC. The gorgeous country-style kitchen is well equipped with a large dining area and a solid oak dining table. To the end of the kitchen is a cosy area with comfortable sofas facing the window with views across the surrounding farmland. A living area has a large inglenook fireplace with wood burner and plenty of room for all the family to sit and relax after a long day exploring. Downstairs, there is also a garden room with large French doors that let in the sunshine. Upstairs are three bedrooms: one double, one twin (with one single and one pull out bed) and one single, as well as a family bathroom.
Head through the French doors into a sheltered and enclosed garden where there is garden furniture and a BBQ. Organic farmland surrounds the property with streams, wildlife pools and woodland nearby, and plenty of opportunity to spot red kits, buzzards, deer and the neighbouring livestock and Welsh ponies.
